Cage plates are fundamental building blocks for constructing cage systems. The center of the plate typically features a threaded or smooth bore for mounting optical components or lens tubes.

CSJ-13 SM05 Threaded Cage Plate
• CSJ-13 SM05-threaded cage plate can mount Ø1/2 inch optical elements;
• The SM05 central hole is 0.35 inch (8.89 mm) thick and compatible with Ø1/2 inch lens tubes;
• Maximum compatible optical element thickness is 5 mm;
• Cage plate includes two SM05 retaining rings;
• M4 threaded hole at the bottom allows mounting to stainless steel posts;
• Compatible with 30 mm cage system;
The center of the CSJ-13 threaded cage plate features an SM05 (0.535”-40) threaded hole compatible with Ø1/2 inch lens tubes. The central threaded hole also allows direct mounting of Ø1/2 inch optics up to 0.2 inch (5 mm) thick. Conveniently, the bottom surface of the cage plate includes an 8-32 (M4) threaded hole for mounting on optical posts.
CSJ-25 Cage Plate Mount for Ø1 inch Optics
• CSJ-25 cage plate mount supports Ø1 inch (25.4 mm) or 25 mm optical elements;
• Allows direct mounting of optics within a 30 mm cage system;
• Smooth bore mounting area provides stable two-line contact for optical elements;
• Bottom M4 threaded hole allows mounting on stainless steel post;
• Nylon-tipped setscrew on top secures the optical component;
This cage plate allows Ø1 inch mirrors or other optical components to be mounted into a 30 mm cage system. The smooth bore region ensures stable two-line contact for the optic. The nylon-tipped setscrew on the top can be tightened with a ball-head driver or hex key to secure the component. A bottom 8-32 (M4) threaded hole is provided for mounting onto a post. Each cage rod hole includes a side screw that can be tightened using a ball-head driver.
CSJ-31 Through-Hole Cage Plate
• CSJ-31 cage plate features a through-hole bore diameter of 30.6 mm (Ø1.2 inch);
• Compatible with sliding in SM1 lens tubes and extension tubes;
• Compatible with 30 mm cage system;
• Nylon-tipped setscrew securely clamps the lens tube in place;
This cage plate is designed to allow our SM1 lens tubes and extension tubes to slide through the center bore and be fixed in place using a nylon-tipped setscrew. It is an ideal solution when you prefer not to thread lens tubes directly into our threaded cage plates. Additionally, this cage plate enables integration of our Ø1.2 inch free-space isolators into a 30 mm cage system. The smooth bore is designed to provide three-point contact for secure and stable mounting. Each cage rod through-hole is equipped with an M4 side setscrew, which can be tightened using a 2 mm hex key (5.64").
CSJ-28 Thick Cage Plate (Ø28 mm center hole)
• Compatible with 30 mm cage system;

• Sufficient thickness allows for bi-directional cage rod connection, compatible with Ø6 mm cage rods;
• Center through-hole: Ø28 mm, compatible with Ø28 mm optomechanical components;

The CSJ-28 cage plate is 27 mm thick, making it ideal for use as a structural support component within cage systems. A single cage plate can serve as a stable mounting base. Compared to thinner cage plates, the increased thickness offers superior rigidity and stability in optical setups.
